The Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia seeks an established research economist as a policy advisor. Responsibilities include engaging in academic research for publication in professional journals, briefing the Bank’s president on policy issues and assisting with his speeches, helping lead our research and policy activities as a senior member of the department, and contributing to public education.
Excellent research skills are vital, as are good writing and speaking skills and a demonstrated interest in policy issues relating to labor markets, human capital development, and aggregate productivity. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in economics, several years of distinguished research and policy experience, and an established research agenda as demonstrated by several publications in top-tier professional journals.
