The University of Redlands, School of Business (http://www.redlands.edu/study/schools-and-centers/school-of-business) invites applicants from all fields of economics for a tenure-track position in Economics at the assistant professor level. Applicants with a strong background in quantitative methods and interests in regional/urban economics and new economic geography are especially sought as they align best with the strategic initiatives and aspirations of our school.

Position Criteria:
This position will have significant responsibility for teaching and managing Economics and Statistics courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. At the time of appointment, the selected candidate should have a completed or nearly completed doctorate (ABD) in Economics or closely related field. All applicants should demonstrate actual (or potential for) research achievement in their functional area and a vibrant interest in teaching working professional students in an environment that embeds business education within the traditional liberal arts and sciences. The School of Business houses two research centers dedicated to understanding spatial aspects of business and economics: The Center for Business GIS and Spatial Analysis (http://www.redlands.edu/businessGIS) and the Institute for Spatial Economic Analysis (http://www.iseapublish.com). The School of Business encourages contributions to its research centers. It values and rewards applied as well as cross-disciplinary research. Practitioner experience in business-related activities is also highly desirable.
