Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Department of Economics at Iowa State University seeks to hire a tenure-track Associate Professor in Economics. The successful applicant will be expected to pursue an innovative research program in international trade with possible emphases on trade theory, empirical trade, political economy, growth and/or development. Additionally, the successful applicant will be expected to publish regularly in top scholarly outlets, provide effective teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including graduate courses in international trade, and supervise graduate student research. Teaching responsibilities may include courses in international trade; international development; international finance; principles of economics; the PhD microeconomics core; or related areas. The successful applicant will also be expected to seek external grant and contract funding.
The department is, separately and synergistically, also looking to hire in the area of international agricultural trade and in the area of risk/commodities. It bears emphasis that Iowa State University is committed to supporting partner accommodations in new hires.
