The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) seeks an Associate Research Fellow/Research Fellow in its Environment and Production Technology Division. This is a 2 year, fixed term, renewable, exempt appointment based either at IFPRI’s South Asia Regional Office in New Delhi, India or in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Essential Duties:
• Conducting literature reviews; implementing household surveys, lab-in-field experiments, randomized evaluations, etc.; in-depth data analysis; and conducting policy analysis on farm-level constraints to productivity growth and the impacts of adoption of sustainable intensification technologies and practices in the rice-wheat and related farming systems of South Asia.
• Supporting efforts to strengthen the capacity of partner organizations and networks to conduct scholarly research and communicate evidence-based policy recommendations in South Asia.

Required Qualifications:
• PhD in Economics, Agricultural Economics, Development Economics, Public Policy or closely related field.
• Strong capabilities in quantitative analysis and ability to use economic theory and methods in innovative and policy-relevant ways to examine agricultural development issues.
