Jinhe Center for Economic Research (JCER) was founded in 1997 by two American educated economists (Yusen Kwoh, Chicago, MA, 1978; Chuntien Hu, Princeton, PhD, 1986) at Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) in China. The center offers B.A, M.A., and PhD. degrees in economics with modern curriculum and teaching materials for original education and research. Existing faculties consist of 8 residents and over 30 visiting professors abroad. We have current enrollment of over 150 full-time students, including undergraduate, master, and doctoral candidates, with active academic communication such as regular workshops and seminars full of liberal democratic atmosphere.

Xi’an Jiaotong University held a groundbreaking ceremony for a 4500-acre new campus in 2015, and JCER is planning to hire 15-20 new faculty members from abroad over the next three years in an effort to bolster expanding programs. Faculty positions available at all levels (Assistant, Associate and Full professors). English speakers are welcome also.

JCER has become an international renowned institution covering research areas including but not limited to: Industrial organization, Regulation, Law & Economics, Welfare, Public finance, Games and information, Macroeconomics, Growth, Money, Theoretical finance, General equilibrium, Mathematical economics, Optimal control, Trade theory, International finance, Econometrics, Bayesian statistics, Labor, Family and Health economics, Applied microeconomics, and Environmental and resource economics.

Responsibilities and Requirements:
•PhD degree required.
•Teaching load of 3 courses (approximately 9 credits) each year, teaching can be conducted in English or Chinese.

Compensation and Benefits:
•Contract for 6 years.
•International competitive salary commensurate with qualifications.
