The Department of Economics anticipates an opening for a tenure-track appointment at the assistant professor level beginning September 16, 2017. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. (or be ABD if the Ph.D. will be completed by time of appointment) and must have a primary field in macroeconomics or a related area, evidence of strong research ability, and a record of teaching effectiveness or demonstrated clear potential. We are particularly interested in candidates with a demonstrated interest in financial economics, development economics, and/or U.S. – Canadian economic relations, although strong candidates with other specializations within macro will also be considered. Review of application and materials begins November 18, 2016 and continues until position is filled. Interviews will be conducted at the ASSA meetings in Chicago, IL January 6-8, 2017. Priority for interview scheduling will be given to applications received by December 1, 2016.
