J.P. Morgan Global Economic Research seeks an economist to join our team covering the United States from our New York City headquarters. We conduct research aimed at understanding macroeconomic developments as they happen and improving our forecasts of growth, inflation, labor markets, and monetary policy. Our work reaches a wide audience of decision-makers inside JP Morgan, at our clients around the world, and through frequent media coverage.
The ideal candidate would have a PhD in economics and a few years of experience at a central bank or other institution, but we will also consider new PhDs and those with other backgrounds. We seek an economist able to conduct creative and rigorous research on a broad range of topics, communicate fluently in writing and in person, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
