The Division of Economics and Business at Colorado School of Mines invites applications for two tenured/tenure track positions at any rank (assistant, associate, or full professor) in Economics beginning in Fall 2017. Applicants with expertise in one or more of the areas corresponding to the following Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) fields will be considered: Q2 Renewable Resources and Conservation, Q3 Nonrenewable Resources and Conservation, Q4 Energy, and Q5 Environmental Economics. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a strong program of scholarship that includes regular publication in scholarly journals, undergraduate and graduate instruction and advising in the Division's economics programs, solicitation of external research funding and engagement with the activities of the research institutes within the Division.
Applicants must have: an earned doctorate in economics or a closely related field; expertise and experience in one or more of the JEL fields described above; a record of or demonstrated potential for excellence in research and teaching in economics; and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
