The Black Hills Knowledge Network (BHKN) seeks a highly qualified regional economist who will serve the Black Hills community and western South Dakota. The economist will serve as project director for the Black Hills Knowledge Network/South Dakota Dashboard, a research and data-oriented regional information service located on the campus of the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City, South Dakota. The successful candidate will be a social entrepreneur with strong communications skills who is interested in public policy and eager to help build an economic consulting practice anchored in a nonprofit institution. The Black Hills offer a high-quality of life with a strong sense of community and many opportunities for outdoor recreation.

Qualifications:
• Masters or PhD in Economics or related field.
• Strong collegial and collaborative skills
• Consulting & business management experience
• Strong communications and public speaking ability
