Colorado School of Mines invites applications for the position of Division Director, a full Professor and member of the academic faculty, reporting to the Dean of the College of Earth Sciences and Engineering. The Director is responsible for overall leadership and management of the Division of Economics and Business and will lead a world-class faculty and staff in maintaining and enhancing the department’s performance and reputation. The Director will teach classes at the undergraduate and graduate level; work with the faculty, government, and industry supporters to develop externally funded research programs; develop and maintain strong ties to the public and private sectors; and work with the Mines Foundation to generate funding for Division, College, and University initiatives.

Applicants must possess an earned doctorate in economics, business, or related discipline and be a tenured full Professor; a record of excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service; the national and international professional reputation commensurate with appointment as full Professor; and leadership experience.
