As part of its ‘NeW Futures’ strategic plan, the University of Newcastle is committed to appointing to the Hunter Research Foundation Chair in Regional Economics in the Faculty of Business and Law, who will support its strong performance in delivering, research excellence, industry collaboration, student satisfaction and community engagement.

The Hunter Research Foundation Chair in Regional Economics will have a research doctorate, an international profile and a discipline focus on local strengths and stakeholder interests. A strong record of quality publications, with an emphasis in applied research, research impact and innovative teaching is essential.

The position offers the opportunity to be part of an energised Business School, including leading the development of a relevant disciplinary focus and collaborating in interdisciplinary research related to regional economics around the University’s four global impact clusters.
