The Department of Finance in the College of Business at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is seeking a visiting postdoctoral research associate with an interest in energy/natural gas starting in the Fall of 2017. The postdoctoral scholar will be part of the Center for Business and Public Policy (CBPP), which is housed in the Department of Finance, but has faculty affiliates from other departments including Law, Economics and Agricultural Economics. The Visiting Postdoctoral Research Associate’s research interests should include natural gas markets, as he or she will be expected to collaborate with Professors Don Fullerton and Tatyana Deryugina on research related to natural gas markets for the duration of the position. However, there are no teaching requirements, and the Research Associate will have some opportunity to pursue his or her own research agenda. Postdoctoral research associates are also encouraged to participate in the department’s scholarly seminars and other intellectual activities.

The Visiting Postdoctoral Research Associate is a one-year, academic (9-month) appointment with the possibility of summer salary and/or renewal for a second year. Applicants must have completed a doctorate in economics or a related discipline prior to beginning the position.
