UC Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications and nominations for the position of Dean of the Social Sciences Division. Reporting to the Campus Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor (CP/EVC), the Dean is the chief officer of the division and responsible for a full range of activities associated with the management and promotion of excellence of the academic and research missions of the division. The Dean manages a total budget of nearly $40M, and approximately 150 full-time faculty and over 100 full-time staff dedicated to the division’s teaching, research, and public service endeavors. We are especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the UCSC academic community through their research, teaching, and service.
