Program Head (National Development Strategies/ Macroeconomics and Finance/ Government Effectiveness and Public Sector Reform/ Social Development and Sustainability/ Economic Diversification and Competitiveness)

The purpose of this job is to lead and oversee a team of researchers,conducting a range of research projects within,and at the intersection of,specific policy domains.The Program Head will also be responsible for building a robust network of relevant institutional and expert partners.

Main Tasks:
-Contribute to developing detailed business plan and defining research priorities in his assigned specialty
-Deliver high quality research projects related to the program in a timely manner within budget
-Define scope and develop/submit proposals for research studies
-Identify suitable partners from outside/within partner network
-Conduct research inline with business plan & agreed research priorities
-Define scope of work for specialized firms supporting research activities and manage day-to-day interaction
-Keep up-to-date with latest knowledge within area of expertise
-Maintain, develop and enhance research sources and databases
-Assist Head of Research in preparing meetings/presentations/events

Ideal Candidate will have:
-Masters in a relevant field,PHD is a plus
-8+ years of professional research experience preferably in one of the above mentioned specialty
-Experience in a Leadership capacity in a relevant discipline gained preferably within an academic/think tank environment
-English required,Arabic preferred
