Ashoka University is a new liberal arts university, located in the outskirts of Delhi, India. The goal of the Department of Economics is to build a vibrant faculty which excels in both teaching and research in the region.

We will be recruiting several faculty positions at all ranks this year. While applications in all fields are invited, candidates specializing in Macroeconomics, Finance, International Economics, are particularly welcome. Applicants must hold, or be close to completing, a Ph.D. as well as possess teaching experience appropriate to rank. Those applying for Assistant Professorships may demonstrate this by a strong doctoral dissertation and research papers. Applicants for Associate or full Professorships must have a proven track record of publications. The university provides a very generous pay package including research budgets.

Department representatives will attend the ASSA meeting in Philadephia to hold initial interviews. Applicants who want to be considered for interviews at this venue should apply by December 15, 2017. Applicants must include a CV, sample research paper(s), a teaching statement and three references (senior applicants need not provide references). A cover letter may be included, if any relevant additional information needs to be communicated.
