The Department of Economics at the University of Bern invites applications for a position of Assistant Professor of Empirical Microeconomics (Tenure Track) with a focus in Organizational/Industrial Economics. Applications from other fields in empirical microeconomics are also invited. Candidates must have a PhD in Economics or equivalent degree completed at the start date of the appointment.

The main criterion for selection is academic excellence. The successful candidate must provide evidence of high quality scholarly output that demonstrates potential for independent research leading to publications in top general interest and top field journals. She/he will teach courses at the Bachelor and Master level in microeconomics.

The Department encourages and supports the candidate in the acquisition of third-party research funding (e.g. ERC, SNF).
