The Economics Department at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University invites applications for a 1-year visiting Assistant Professor position to begin academic year 2018-2019. The teaching load of six undergraduate courses will include a one-semester Introduction to Economics and courses in the area of the candidate's expertise such as Public Economics, Environmental Economics, Health Economics. The successful candidate will be committed to the ideals of liberal arts education; active engagement in the department and advising; and high-quality teaching with attention to equity, diversity, and inclusion. Candidates with Ph.D. in hand by September 2018 preferred but other advanced ABD candidates will be considered.

Applicants must complete a faculty application form and attach a cover letter, curriculum vitae, statement of teaching philosophy with some attention to teaching students from diverse backgrounds, evidence of teaching effectiveness, unofficial transcript (official transcript required for on campus interviews), and have *three letters of recommendation submitted.

*Letters Of Reccomendation: You will be asked to list a minimum of 3 reference names and contact information. If you use a placement service, you will need to contact them to request the email address to list. The system will send an email to your letter writer or placement service requesting a letter of recommendation for you.

Review of applications will commence on January 22 and will continue until the position is filled.
