Director, Federal Reserve Bank of Boston’s New England Public Policy Center
The Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston is seeking an experienced applied microeconomist with a demonstrated career in research and public policy to direct its New England Public Policy Center. The Center produces evidence-based research and analysis of economic and policy challenges relevant to the New England region, as well as more general micro research.
The Director is expected to conduct and publish self-directed, policy-oriented research, supervise and manage the work of the Center, its economists, and Deputy Director, help direct policy analysts’ research, and serve as one of the Center’s spokespersons internally and publicly in the New England region. Requirements include a Ph.D. in economics; a record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals; experience managing and supervising a research team; and strong writing and public presentation skills. Salary and position commensurate with background and experience.
