The Robert Day School of Economics and Finance (RDS) at Claremont McKenna College (CMC) invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor position for the 2019-20 academic year. Ideal candidates are applied microeconomists. We are particularly interested in candidates with research and teaching interests in health, education, or behavioral economics.
A successful candidate must be an outstanding researcher with a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring students representing a broad range of socioeconomic backgrounds, political opinions, genders, races, ethnicities, nationalities, sexual orientations, and religions.
The RDS (http://www.cmc.edu/rdschool/) ranks consistently among the top liberal arts college economic departments in IDEAS. RDS has over 30 tenured and tenure-track professors in economics, finance, and accounting, combining elements of a top undergraduate liberal arts college and a research-focused institution. CMC is a highly selective liberal arts college located in Claremont, a beautiful college town nestled in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains roughly 35 miles from Los Angeles. CMC is part of a consortium that includes Pomona, Harvey Mudd, Scripps, Pitzer, and Claremont Graduate University.
