Assistant Professor of Economics

The Milgard School of Business at the University of Washington Tacoma invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Economics position in its AACSB-accredited program. This full-time position has a 9-month service period and begins September 2019 (Autumn Quarter). Candidates will teach a variety of economics courses which could include principles of economics, intermediate macroeconomics, and intermediate microeconomics. This position will also contribute to our finance major by teaching elective classes covering topics such as international finance and financial markets and institutions. The successful candidate will contribute as an engaged researcher and collaborative colleague to serve our growing school and campus in pursuit of our mission.

Strong candidates will demonstrate outstanding research capabilities, have an active research program, be committed to effective teaching and possess a desire to be an integral member of a team of faculty and staff that is committed to excellence. Applicants should have a doctoral degree (or foreign equivalent) in a relevant field granted or expected to be completed by summer 2019.
