The Chair of Macroeconomics and Finance at the Department of Money and Macroeconomics at Goethe-University Frankfurt is seeking to fill, from September 1st, 2019, the position of a Postdoctoral Researcher (E13 TV-G-U.
The appointment will be full-time, initially for three years, and renewable for up to a further 3 years. The salary grade is based on the job characteristics of the collective agreement (TV-G-U) applicable to Goethe University.
The limitation of the position as a Research Assistant is governed by the provisions of the Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz in conjunction with the Hessian Higher Education Act.
During the full term of the contract, researchers are expected to build up a research record and teaching experience sufficient for applying to Associate Professor or Senior Researcher appointments internationally.
The job duties and responsibilities include performing research, some independent teaching, and assisting in teaching and research undertaken by the Chair. The successful candidate is expected to have conducted and be interested in pursuing further research in topics on the interface between Macroeconomics and Finance, related to household finance.
The ideal candidate should expect to have completed all requirements for a doctoral degree before the start of the appointment. Fluency in English is required.
