The Georgia Policy Labs seeks an outstanding two-year postdoc to be a key contributor on projects related to the safety, economic stability, and education of Georgia’s at-risk children and families. The postdoc will work directly with an accomplished team including faculty in economics and public management and policy. The postdoc’s priority will be to advance the Lab’s research agenda by developing and executing research projects.
The postdoc will be encouraged to generate research ideas and to take initiative as PI or co-PI on projects resulting in academic publications. This position is designed for an early-stage quantitative scholar who wants to use administrative data to answer crucial policy questions through rigorous analysis. We hope this position will serve as a launching pad for a successful academic career. No teaching is required.
The GPL is a collaboration between GSU and a variety of government agencies to promote evidence-based policy development and implementation. GPL comprises three labs: The Metro Atlanta Policy Lab for Education works to improve K-12 education in metro Atlanta; the Career and Technical Education Policy Exchange focuses on high-school career and technical education in multiple states; and the CFPL works with state agencies to improve outcomes for children and families.
