The Department of Economics at Georgetown University has an opening for a Teaching Professor at the Assistant, Associate or Full Teaching Professor level, in the field of Econometrics and/or Statistics. The appointment will be for one year starting August 1, 2019. Compensation will be at market rates. The primary responsibility will be to teach five econometrics and/or statistics courses in the undergraduate and/or masters programs, with the possibility of additional summer teaching. Candidates should have extensive experience and demonstrated success in teaching econometrics and/or statistics at the undergraduate or graduate level. Specific requirements include a Ph.D. degree in Economics or a closely related field and at least six years (Associate Teaching Professor) or at least eleven years (Full Teaching Professor) of post-Ph.D. university teaching experience. Candidates should send a curriculum vita, documentation of success (such as course evaluation results) in teaching relevant courses, and three letters of recommendation.
