The Department of Economics, one of six departments in the Belk College of Business at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, invites applications for a full-time position as a Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Professor beginning in the Fall 2019 semester. The position requires a doctoral degree in economics or closely related field. All degree requirements must be completed by the time of appointment. The candidate must be prepared to teach principles (both macroeconomics and microeconomics), managerial economics, and possibly undergraduate and graduate courses in the individual's primary field. The teaching load is four courses per semester. Prior teaching experience is preferred. In addition to teaching, responsibilities for this position include sufficient research and/or other professional activities to meet the Belk College Faculty Qualification Standards as well as service, including contributions to diversity initiatives. This is a non-tenure track position with an initial three-year contract.
Salary is competitive. Subsequent contracts will depend on performance, departmental needs, and the college's budgetary situation.
