Claremont Graduate University's Computational Justice Lab is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Fellowship. The fellowship would be for the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 academic years. The fellowship is open to recent PhDs in computer science, data science, economics, political science, public policy or related disciplines. Research interests should include applied topics (especially related to legal issues), but we are open to considering additional topics.
The Computational Justice Lab is an interdisciplinary program that manages projects that incorporates collaborative teams of faculty from various institutions, graduate and undergraduate students from the Claremont Consortium, and post-docs to create data and conduct analyses on pressing legal issues. Teams work closely with various practitioners in legal institutions throughout the country to identify areas where data-driven initiatives can improve the quality of the institutions.
Skills desired: Knowledge of python or R, STATA, and AWS. Experience building web crawlers, content extractors, and managing large-scale projects desired.
