The Global Public Policy team at Merck Vaccines is seeking a talented, motivated professional to join our team and lead efforts to develop public policy strategies and inform vaccine business strategies, focusing on areas of fiscal and health policy that are critical to the business today and in the future.

The Director will lead the development and support the execution of evidence-informed health and financing-focused policy strategies that impact the vaccine R&D and manufacturing industry, as well as access to and the sustainability of immunization programs. Key areas of focus include but are not limited to policies that drive or incentivize innovation, govern procurement and pricing of vaccines, promote and hinder healthy vaccine market dynamics, and shape public sector financing for prevention and immunization programs.

The Director will lead economic, political, and fiscal research and analyses and draft policy briefs and positions that will inform Merck’s vaccine policy strategies and ensure policy efforts are integrated with and inform vaccine business objectives. The Director will work closely with the global vaccines policy colleagues to translate global policy guidance into actionable strategies at a regional, national and local level and the cross-functional team to monitor and translate the impact of public policies to inform the overall vaccines business strategies. The Director will also oversee the development of appropriate tools and resources to support actionable strategies in assigned areas.
