The Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University invites applications
and nominations for the Stuart H. Altman Chair in U.S. Health Policy, a tenured faculty position at the rank of full Professor.

The candidate selected for the Stuart H. Altman Chair will carry on a tradition of excellence in health policy research and public engagement focused on healthcare financing, payment policy, insurance, healthcare markets, the structure and composition of the healthcare delivery system and the linkages between the formal health system and the social determinants of health. The position will contribute to the public profile of the Heller School through teaching scholarship and participation in external policy-related initiatives focused on improving the cost effectiveness, quality and value of the US healthcare system. The individual would be expected to be an active participant in the activities of the Brandeis Health Industry Forum.

The ideal candidate should have minimum of 10 years experience after obtaining graduate education and a doctoral degree. The candidate should also have an academic background in economics, finance, management, or interdisciplinary health service research, and should have experience both within and outside of the academic environment (e.g., government, health administration, insurance or technology).
