The Johns Hopkins University Krieger School of Arts and Sciences division of Advanced Academic Program (advanced.jhu.edu) seeks a dynamic full-time Program Director for its Master of Science in Applied Economics (Full-time, non-tenure) to lead the program through its next successful phase. 

The Director will work collaboratively with the Associate Dean for Advanced Academic Programs, Program Chairs, and other Senior academic leaders across the Krieger School to oversee a rigorous academic program offered to roughly 400 students each semester in a variety of formats including online and on-ground courses.

Faculty Duties

The Program Director will hold the academic rank of Senior Lecturer.  The 12-month faculty appointment comes with a yearly teaching load of 3 courses.  Faculty Duties also include academic program leadership, such as curriculum oversight, curriculum and course development and updates, student advising and other academic duties normally performed by full-time or regular part- time faculty such as sitting on thesis and search committees, thesis advising, attending academic events, etc.

Administrative Duties:

Program budget management
Planning the degree curriculum
Overseeing new course and program development
Enrollment management and planning
Hiring, overseeing, and evaluating full-time and part-time faculty
Responding to inquiries from prospective students and others
Other duties as assigned
