Senior Research Scholar or Research Scholar – Power Sector

Center on Global Energy Policy
The Center on Global Energy Policy at Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs seeks a Senior Research Scholar or Research Scholar for a major research initiative on the power sector. Successful execution will require generating original research, managing collaborative research projects across departments and communicating research findings clearly and concisely to a range of audiences in a manner that maximizes policy impact, as well as contributing to the University’s wider research and convening efforts.
Qualifications include doctoral degree or terminal degree focused on energy technology, economics, public policy or a directly related field; 8 years post degree related work experience for research scholars and 10 years post degree related work experience for senior research scholars; experience in developing and utilizing models and scenario analysis to quantify the energy system and/or climate impacts of changes in the electricity system required; experience across some combination of the following topics: the power sector, electricity markets, renewable energy, energy policy, and climate policy.
