The project will use wellbeing data to throw light on the value of different job characteristics and theory to reassess both the returns to education and the real level of wage inequality. It will also examine how far wellbeing data help to explain the level of pay in each job.
The project is led by Professors Andrew Clark and Richard Layard with advice from Professor Alan Manning however the Research Economist will play a major role in the design and execution of the project and co-author all outputs. The role will assist with data matching, modelling, and analysis and will contribute authored/ co-authored journal quality papers and will coordinate the work of others as required.
