Full Job Description:
Candidates are expected to teach in both the undergraduate Bachelor of Science and graduate Master of Science in International and Development Economics (IDEC) programs, with emphasis on research design, basics of randomized control trials and causal inference, identification strategies, and methods for exploiting natural experiments. Experience teaching paper replication, field methods, and modern collaboration tools such as GitHub are all particularly valuable. The standard term faculty teaching load at USF is four 4-unit courses per semester with the possibility of one course reduction per semester for service requirements, contingent upon approval. A strong record of teaching at the university level and an understanding of and commitment to supporting the mission of the University of San Francisco are required. ABD candidates will be considered, but a Ph.D. in Economics or a related field must be earned by start of appointment.

Furthermore, applicants should indicate whether they are available to start the appointment in January 2020 or August 2020. Applicants should be available for interviews either remotely during November/December 2019 and/or at the ASSA meetings January 3-5, 2020 in San Diego, California.
