Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) invites applications for a position of either tenured Full Professor or tenured Associate Professor in international finance and international macroeconomics to begin July 2020 (or as soon thereafter as possible). A joint appointment in the Department of Economics is a possibility.
Ph.D. required. Candidates must have a distinguished publication record and will be expected to sustain an active research and publication agenda and to contribute to teaching and intellectual leadership in SIPA’s graduate programs.
Applicants should be qualified to teach some combination of courses on international finance, international economics and macroeconomics. Research interests should be policy-relevant. Related experience in government service or policy analysis organizations is a plus. The person hired will participate in the activities of SIPA master’s degree programs in International Finance and Economic Policy and Economic Policy Management.
