Core Faculty Position in Economics – Associate Professor / Professor

Georgetown University in Qatar (GU-Q) aims to recruit a senior research-oriented economist for a core faculty position at GU-Q. Core faculty positions are full-time positions designed to replicate the institutional commitment to academic freedom and professional opportunities associated with tenure-track appointments.

We seek applications from colleagues in all economic disciplines, with some preference on development, international economics, or on applied work. Applicants must have substantial research accomplishments, evidence of ambitious ongoing research agendas, and outstanding teaching credentials. Appointment will be at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor.

Faculty at Georgetown University in Qatar are eligible to apply for Qatar National Priorities Research Program grants from the Qatar National Research Fund. The deadline for applications is December 6, 2019. Interviews will be conducted at the Allied Social Sciences Associations (ASSA) meetings in San Diego from January 3-5, 2020. Applicants should provide a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and the names of three scholarly references. Applications must be made via Job Openings for Economists.
