NEST Postdoctoral Fellowships
The Faculty of Social Science at Western University will provide up to three NEST Postdoctoral Fellowships to exceptional junior researchers whose proposed research supports the mandate of the Network for Economic and Social Trends to facilitate and promote world-class, cross-disciplinary research and training relevant to social and economic policy and practice that address pressing issues facing modern societies.
The overall goal of NEST is to use advanced data creation, management, and analytic techniques to conduct theoretically driven and evidenced-based research that will inform social and economic policy in Canada and North America more broadly.
The awards are valued at $45,000 per year (plus benefits*) and can commence at the beginning of any month between November 2019 and June 2020. These fellowships are for a one-year term with the possibility of renewal for one additional year.
The awardees will be housed within NEST, which includes access to such resources as the Statistics Canada Research Data Centre, collaboration space, and state-of-the-art video conferencing. Each awardee will be expected to work on a research project with at least one full-time faculty member who will act as their academic supervisor.
