Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Center for Latin American Monetary Studies (CEMLA) is seeking senior and newly qualified PhDs in economics, finance or related fields to fill the positions of Senior Research Economist and Research Economist to work in its Economic Research Division.

The economist’s main responsibility will be to perform research on monetary economics, macroeconomics and/or finance, related to Latin America and the Caribbean and its central bank community. In addition, the researcher will actively contribute to the activities with CEMLA's associates and collaborating members, the organization of international events, and CEMLA's journal. Full command of English and either Spanish or Portuguese is required.

The positions will be available after October 2019.

We will be interviewing selected candidates at the ASSA meeting in San Diego, CA in January 2020. Interested candidates should send their applications by November 30, 2019; applications received after that date cannot be guaranteed full consideration for an interview.
