The Department of Economics at the Center for Research and Teaching in Economics (CIDE) seeks applications to fill two tenure-track positions at its campus in Aguascalientes starting August 2020. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Economics from an accredited institution by August 2020.

The positions are in the following fields:
• Environmental and Resource Economics;
• Any field, with special interest in Econometrics and Applied microeconomics.

Candidates are expected to develop outstanding scholarly research in the aforementioned fields. Candidates will be expected to provide quality teaching. The average teaching load is two courses per year.


The Economics Department of CIDE has been top ranked as a leading Mexican higher education institution. The Aguascalientes campus offers Masters program in Environmental Economics.

Successful applicants are expected to be able to teach in Spanish within two years following the appointment.
