The Department of Economics and Finance at the University of North Carolina Wilmington expects to hire two assistant or associate professor positions to begin in the fall of 2020. Candidates must either have a Ph.D. or provided evidence that will complete their Ph.D. by August 2020. (Exceptions may be made in exceptional cases for a degree to be completed by August 2021.) Fields are somewhat flexible but preference will be given to a candidate with interests in regional and microeconomics or macroeconomics and a willingness to teach econometrics. Interest and experience teaching graduate courses, working with and presenting to the community, and online course experience is preferred.

Applicants must have a desire to excel in both teaching and research. Anticipated teaching load is a 3-3 with commensurate research expectations.

Salary is competitive.
