We invite applications and nominations for the Otto “Toby” Davis Trustee Chair, at the Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University. The appointment will be at the level of tenured Full Professor, and is intended to accelerate the research and policy impact of the Block Center for Technology and Society (see https://www.cmu.edu/block-center/). We are looking for a scholar with interest and expertise in the broad domain of the “future of work,” including the study of evolving workplace structures, impacts of technological change on the labor market, the role of education and training in shaping labor market outcomes, and other related areas. The ideal candidate will have a record of distinguished scholarship; excellence in teaching and graduate student mentorship; and a demonstrated interest in engaging with real world problems, partnering with private and/or public sector organizations, and communicating with policy relevant audiences.
