The Department of Finance and Real Estate in the College of Business at Colorado State University invites applications for a nine-month tenure track position in Finance. Rank is at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Applicants must have credentials and experience commensurate with appointments at these rank levels. The department has needs for faculty in investments, financial management, international finance, and sustainability. The successful candidate will teach and publish research in top peer-reviewed finance journals. The anticipated start date is August 2020.

Required qualifications - Candidates must have (1) a Ph.D. degree in finance or expect to complete their degree before the start date; (2) a record of high quality finance-related publications or working papers commensurate with experience; (3) a demonstrated interest to teach in the areas of need.
Preferred qualifications – Preference will be given to candidates with the following characteristics: (1) a demonstrated ability or potential for excellence in scholarship commensurate with experience; and (2) a demonstrated ability or potential for excellence in teaching within the above-mentioned areas of need.

The Department of Finance and Real Estate is one of five departments in the College of Business. The Department has a strong record of research and teaching accomplishments, and expects faculty to be active in the academic community. The Department provides undergraduate concentrations in finance (with options in corporate finance, and investments), financial planning, and real estate, offers a graduate program in finance, and supports other graduate degree programs.
The Department currently has 14 tenure-track and 8 non-tenure track faculty. The Department serves the more than 700 undergraduate students in finance and real estate and supports a successful master’s program in the finance area.
