Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Department of Economics in the Robins School of Business at the University of Richmond invites applications for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor of Economics for the 2020-21 academic year.
The individual must have a research field in environmental economics or resource economics. The primary teaching requirement will be courses in environmental economics and several service courses in statistics/econometrics. A secondary field in health economics is a plus. The teaching load is 3-2 (with 1 or 2 preps each term) and applicants must have at least one year of successful teaching experience as a sole instructor, not as a teaching assistant.
For full consideration, applicants should specify in a separate document how they are prepared to contribute to the university’s goals of developing a diverse workforce and student body and to supporting an inclusive campus community. The University of Richmond values the expression of differences in ways that promote excellence in teaching, learning, personal development, and institutional success. Review of applications will commence on November 15, 2019, and continue until the position is filled.
The University of Richmond is a private university located just a short drive from downtown Richmond, Virginia. The University of Richmond is committed to developing a diverse workforce and student body, and to modeling an inclusive campus community which values the expression of difference in ways that promote excellence in teaching, learning, personal development, and institutional success.
