Graduate School of Economics at Kobe University invites applications for a full-time permanent/tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor in macroeconomics to begin on October 1, 2020 (the start date is negotiable).
The position is either permanent or tenure-track. For the tenure-track position, the initial appointment is for five years, and administrative duties and teaching load will be kept low. A tenure review will be conducted by the end of the fourth year.
Applicants must (i) be able to teach macroeconomics, mathematics for economists, and introductory economics at undergraduate and graduate levels in Japanese and English; (ii) (be expected to) hold a Ph.D. degree by the start date; and (iii) demonstrate a record of high-quality research in macroeconomics (peer-reviewed publications in international academic journals are required, but not necessarily for beginning researchers).
Salary will be determined by the university regulations (there is a possibility that an annual salary scheme is applied), and the pension scheme is available.
