Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Fellow will have the opportunity to work on key research initiatives with the Center as well as to contribute to emerging topical focuses of the Center. Currently the Center is engaged in research evaluating funding and innovative finance strategies for workforce development and higher education; understanding the intersection of social safety net policies, benefits cliffs, and career pathways; and middle skill job market trends through its work on Opportunity Occupations. The Center would like a Fellow who could contribute to this work and develop new research on topics including, but not limited to automation and the future of work, credentials and licensure, spatial and place-based analysis of job markets and economic opportunity, opportunity in rural markets, job quality, and promoting equality of opportunity.
The Fellowship is a residentially based, full time position in Atlanta, Georgia. It is a two-year term and potentially renewable.
Education:
• Bachelor's Degree; Master's Degree preferred
Experience:
• Three to Five years preferred
Knowledge Area/Technical Skills/Certifications and Licenses:
• Community and economic development
• CED Specialization (housing/neighborhood stabilization, human capital, small business, or community development finance)
• Planning and project management
• Written communications/presentation skills
• Descriptive statistics
