Moravian College Department of Economics and Business invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level in Economics/Finance. All programs in the department are accredited by ACBSP. This position will begin in January 2021.
The successful candidate must demonstrate a genuine desire to teach and fully participate in an interdisciplinary department in a liberal arts environment. Collaboration with colleagues and engagement with students is highly valued. Tenure-track faculty teach three courses each semester, are actively engaged in research leading to publication, advise students, and serve on departmental and college-wide committees. The successful candidate will teach courses in macroeconomics and finance and advise the student-run Amrhein Investment Club. Preference is given to those who can teach Principles of Economics, Money and Banking, Managerial Finance, Investment and Portfolio Theory, and develop electives, such as Insurance and Risk Management, Advanced Corporate Finance, and Financial Modeling.
Required qualifications: Ph.D. in Economics or Finance completed by January 2021.
