The Koch Center for Leadership and Ethics at Emporia State University in Emporia, KS, seeks applications for a visiting assistant/associate professor of economics with a Fall 2020 start date. This is a limited-term position with a one-year appointment (9-month, plus teaching opportunities available during the summer of 2021). This appointment may be renewed, contingent on funding.

Position Summary
The successful candidate will have an active economics research agenda, complement our faculty, participate in all Koch Center events, and teach three classes per semester (3/3). We prefer a specialist in Public Choice, New Institutional Economics, Law and Economics, or Applied Economics. Ph.D. in Economics or related field is preferred.

The teaching duties for this opening will be primarily Principles of Microeconomics and Principles of Macroeconomics. Most of these teaching duties will be within the School of Business (https://www.emporia.edu/business/) where the visiting position will be housed. In addition, the candidate will also participate in undergraduate student engagement (reading groups, etc.). The candidate is expected to contribute to the Center's mission of teaching and engagement excellence. This is a wonderful opportunity to be a transformative force in the lives of our students.
