The following eight institutions cooperate in the Research Associate Program of the Berlin School of Economics (BSE RAP, previously known as BERA) to promote the careers of junior researchers: the School of Business and Economics at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, the School of Business and Economics at Freie Universität Berlin, the School of Economics and Management at Technische Universität Berlin, the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences of the University of Potsdam, the German Institute for Economic Research, the WZB Berlin Social Science Center, the ESMT European School of Management and Technology Berlin and the Hertie School. In this year's search, the BSE also cooperates with Europa-Universität Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder).
The BSE seeks to fill
several Research Associate positions
for fixed-term appointments of up to a maximum of 6 years, according to German WissZeitVG and the various institution's pay scales - e.g. E 13 TV-L HU/TU/FU or E 14 TvöD-Bund (comparable to assistant professorship).
Excellent researchers from all fields of economics are invited to apply. Each of the positions will be hosted and administered by one of the BSE institutions. For further details about the positions at the various institutions see http://www.berlin-econ.de/bse-recruiting-2021.
Duties: Successful candidates will contribute to research and, in some institutions, to teaching in economics at the Bachelor, Master or PhD levels.
Requirements: Applicants should hold a PhD in economics or a neighboring discipline, and should have excellent qualifications as well as outstanding own research.
Applicants should submit a statement outlining their research plans, a detailed curriculum vitae, a job market paper, copies of degree certificates, and teaching evaluations if available. Applicants are required to organize the separate submission of two academic letters of recommendation by their referees.
