Founded in 1854, Hamline is Minnesota’s first university and among the first coeducational institutions in the nation. Hamline’s School of Business prepares the next generation of business, nonprofit, and public sector leaders.

The School of Business seeks applicants for a tenure-track faculty position in finance.

At the undergraduate level, the school offers a Bachelor in Business Administration with concentrations in accounting, business analytics, finance, international business, management, and marketing and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

At the graduate level, the school offers the following degrees: Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Business Analytics, Master of Nonprofit Management, Master of Public Administration, and Ph.D. in Management and Public Service as well as sequential degrees, dual degrees, and joint MBA/JD degree with the Mitchell Hamline Law School.

Teaching responsibilities include both graduate and undergraduate courses. Course content areas include: foundations of finance, corporate finance, investments, markets and institutions, corporate growth and valuation (M&A), and risk management. We are seeking candidates who have prior teaching experience in these course content areas.

Candidates with a completed Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Finance, or Economics will be given preference. ABD candidates will be considered with anticipated completion within the first year of appointment.
