CDC Steven M. Teutsch Prevention Effectiveness Fellowship
Full-Time Applied Research Fellowships Available
CDC established the 2-year Steven M. Teutsch Prevention Effectiveness Fellowship to address ongoing public health demand for rigorous health economics-based inquiry through the recruitment, internal placement, and development of public health economists. Prevention effectiveness and public health economics assess the impact of public health policies, programs, and practices on health outcomes by determining efficacy, effectiveness, and efficiency using economic, econometric, decision, analytic, and program and policy evaluation methods.
CDC is recruiting approximately 10 fellowship positions for 2022. Applicants must have a doctoral degree in economics, health services research, health policy or policy analysis, public policy, or related quantitatively fields.
Doctoral degree requirements must be completed by 7/22/2022. Starting annual salary is approximately $87,000 plus Federal benefits. Application period is 9/7/2021 to 1/21/2022. The fellowship begins on 8/15/2022 (date flexible) with intensive orientation and training.
