The Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor beginning September 2022, with Ph.D. completed by August 2022. We seek a macroeconomist (non-monetary), committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching and scholarly research, to join a community of diverse students and faculty, who come from all socio-economic, racial, ethnic and religious backgrounds, across the US and internationally. Trinity is a liberal arts college with 2,200 students located in, and engaged with, Connecticut’s capital city of Hartford. Teaching duties include intermediate macroeconomic theory, and elective courses in the candidate’s specialization. The teaching load is four courses per year for the first two years and five courses per year thereafter, with a one-semester leave every fourth year. In a cover letter applicants should carefully discuss areas of research interest. A separate teaching statement should address teaching philosophy and areas of teaching interest, as well as how the applicant foresees working with a diverse student body. Completed applications, including CV, three letters of recommendation, transcript, teaching statement, a writing sample, and official summaries of teaching evaluations must be received by November 1, 2021 online at https://trincoll.peopleadmin.com to receive full consideration.
