The Department of Economics at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh seeks to fill a full-time Teaching Professor/Professor of Practice/Lecturer position starting September 2022. The individual will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in economics and statistics primarily at the university’s Fox Cities campus located in Menasha, Wisconsin. However, some of the teaching responsibilities may occasionally take place at the university’s primary campus in Oshkosh. The individual will also be expected to advise and mentor students and participate in university service commensurate with the position. Outstanding teaching is expected. With a total enrollment exceeding 10,000 students, UW Oshkosh is the third largest University in the University of Wisconsin System. Economics is housed in the College of Business, which is fully accredited by AACSB and serves over 1,800 undergraduate and 600 MBA students. The Fox Cities region in Wisconsin is routinely regarded as one of the “Best Places to Live” according to Money Magazine and Livability.com. The Federal Housing Finance Agency’s House Price Index places the local housing market as nearly 20% less expensive than the overall US. The region features great schools, outdoor activities, performing arts centers, a thriving restaurant scene, and multiple sports complexes.

Required minimum qualifications:

M.A. or M.S. in Economics or closely related field
Demonstrated potential for outstanding teaching

Preferred qualifications:

PhD in Economics or closely related field
Accomplished outstanding teacher
