The Department of Economics at the University of Victoria invites applications for a tenure-track assistant teaching professor position commencing 1 July 2022.
The successful candidate will teach a range of econometrics and statistics courses at the undergraduate level and contribute to delivering core courses in macro or micro economics. Teaching professors play a central role in the administration of undergraduate programs.

Applicants must have a PhD in economics and have a record of excellence in teaching. The ideal candidate is passionate about teaching economics, innovative, and can inspire students to learn. The position will require ongoing contributions to the improvement of undergraduate teaching in the Department, including leading the introduction of new teaching methods and technologies. Having experience teaching large classes, international students, and coordinating teaching across multiple sections are all desirable assets. Assistant teaching professors are expected to maintain scholarly activities (10% of workload) through research, which can include research on pedagogical methods.
